Hair Update

The black hair is still here. It's been almost a month, and at least 45 washes (I lost count of the exact number after I reached 17 in a week and a half). It's starting to fade some, but not evenly. Now I've got black hair with faint patches of brown, red, and blonde. It's okay, though. I kinda like it. I also got 7 inches cut off yesterday.

Psychic Moment

This morning, I woke up thinking about a girl who lived down the street from me from kindergarten until about 2nd grade. The reason I was thinking about her was because I've been considering deleting my myspace account, because I never get on anymore, and use facebook instead. I was trying to think of people whose email addresses I needed to get who are on myspace and not on facebook. I thought of this girl, because I sent her a friend request about a year and a half ago, and she had never responded, and that had been my only contact with her in 20 years. At the time that I sent it, it said she hadn't logged on in several months, so I was thinking it might have expired before she saw it.

So, I logged onto myspace (for maybe the 3rd time in the last few months) with the intention of sending her another friend request and waiting a few days before I deleted the account. However, when I logged on, I saw that I had a message -- from her! How weird is that? I haven't talked to her in 20 years, sent a message a year and a half ago, haven't really thought about it much since then, and when I finally decide to try again, she had just replied. Sometimes I really do think I have psychic moments!

Dracula

I was instructed to dress up as Dracula for my cousin's 17th birthday party. We were doing a mystery theatre type thing. I don't have any pictures of me in my full costume (which won 'best costume,' by the way), but here's some of the residual effects. It's going to take a few more washes to get rid of it.

So, what's the vote? Should I keep it this color? :)

Need An MP3 Player Guide

I want to buy an mp3 player, but I'm clueless. Can I get an iPod if I don't have a Mac? Can I download music from any site, regardless of what kind I get? How much is music? Do they all have voice recorders too, and are they any good? Please, someone, fill me in about mp3 players.

My New Ebay Store

Interesting Article on Autism and Vaccines

I work with autistic children, so the vaccine debate is always of interest to me. This article, by Robert Kennedy, Jr., is one of the best I've read on the subject. He mentions the rate of autism among the Amish is 4, when it should be around 130, in comparison to the rest of the population. Amish people, as a rule, don't vaccinate their children, but 3 of these 4 were vaccinated, and one was exposed to mercury from a power plant. In other words, no unvaccinated Amish children have autism, except for one who was exposed to mercury poisoning from another source.

Um...I created a blog.

I don't know if this blog will be any good, considering most good blogs include heartwarming and/or disgusting stories involving the blogger's children, and I have none. I can assure you, however, that this blog will have excruciatingly correct grammar and spelling, and that ought to keep you coming back.
