The black hair is still here. It's been almost a month, and at least 45 washes (I lost count of the exact number after I reached 17 in a week and a half). It's starting to fade some, but not evenly. Now I've got black hair with faint patches of brown, red, and blonde. It's okay, though. I kinda like it. I also got 7 inches cut off yesterday.

jessica, it sounds like you used permanent hair color, instead of semi-permanent. Permanent has to grow out. Semi permanent like Loving Care usually washes out after 12 washes.
Either way, I kinda like the black on you.
It was definitely supposed to be short term. It said up to 28 washes, but it said if your hair is a lot lighter, it will take longer. It's definitely fading, but not very fast. I kind of like the black, too, but I don't want to have to deal with roots. I may end up having to dye it back to normal, but I'm scared of the damage.
